Port of Boulogne-sur-Mer

As the leading fishing port in France with approximately 36,000 tons of seafood caught annually, this agri-food logistics platform is a major player among the coastal ports in the Hauts-de-France region.

The port's activity allows us to act as a consignment agent for the management of freight and tourist vessel calls. We operate at the port in collaboration with our transport, logistics, and handling partners.

Our experts are available 24/7 through an on-call system and are able to fulfill all your requests in a personalized manner.

Practical Information:

Since 2015, the ports of Calais and Boulogne-sur-Mer have been managed by SEPD (Société d’Exploitation des Ports du Détroit) in order to merge into a single entity. This organization, supported by the Hauts-de-France region, facilitates closer and faster links between the two main ports of the region.

Port of Calais

Located just 38 km from the British coast, the Port of Calais is one of the shortest routes between Continental Europe and Great Britain, making it a significant link between France and the UK. It is the leading French port for cross-channel traffic and the leading continental European port for passengers.

Key Figures:

  • 9 million passengers crossing the English Channel from Calais in 2017
  • Nearly 43 million tonnes of goods transited from the Port of Calais to Dover in 2017.

The Port of Calais maintains a constant connection with the Port of Dover, creating a daily flow linking continental Europe with the British Isles.

As a former strategic port on the Strait of Dover, serving both military and fishing purposes, the Port of Calais has continuously expanded.

In 2015, the Port of Calais underwent an expansion that doubled its current capacity through the construction of a new sea-facing basin. Calais Port 2015 directly contributes to strengthening this route and will enable the Port of Calais to consolidate its strategic role within the TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network).

Our agency, ideally located near the Port of Calais, is able to manage and supervise port operations. We assist vessels with all administrative procedures and operational requirements. The proximity of our office allows us to maintain close relationships with all maritime stakeholders, port authorities, and shipmasters.
