Why do we need customs documents since Brexit?

The Brexit led to the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union (EU) and thus the end of the free movement of goods between the UK and EU member states.

Since Brexit, the trade of goods between the UK and the EU is treated as commercial trade between two third countries, thereby requiring customs formalities and border controls.

Since the beginning, we have been working for the smooth implementation of Brexit!

Since the implementation of Brexit, ASA has been able to grow and be present in a crucial area for border crossings: customs services. Indeed, we are present at the Port of Calais to provide comprehensive monitoring and support for health and veterinary controls, just like at the Channel Tunnel site. With 90% of Equestrian traffic, ASA's strength ensures animal welfare through its in-house veterinary experts.

We also have a Customs / Transit service at the Calais TruckStop parking in Marck-en-Calaisis, which handles our customs declaration requests. The service manages all declaration requests, both sanitary and others. Our Customs Clerks work closely with the Customs service to provide a comprehensive service.

During your passage for health/veterinary control at our dedicated sites, we can also provide you with your customs declaration without having to go to our Calais TruckStop parking. This is a major advantage, facilitating and saving time during your transit, as customs can be done remotely in this specific case.  As a customs declarant, we are your representative throughout the process.

Unwavering availability

Our customs services are available 24/7 to promptly meet your needs. Our 25 customs services employees specialize in their respective domains and benefit from networks of competent professionals for ancillary services.

Digital performance at ASA: the key to success

We also benefit from a powerful and innovative computer tool, N.ASA, which records your requests and allows you to register them online for quick processing on our end. Your N.ASA account ensures tracking of all your customs requests, including health and veterinary monitoring, as well as customs declarations. Your documents are available online, along with details of the operations performed, and when necessary, photographs and other details ensuring the quality of our services.
