Tariff type

the tariff type is the denomination assigned to the goods in the common customs tariff. The latter includes nearly 15,500 classification headings. On imports and exports, this classification is fundamental for companies, since it is on it that the determination of customs duty rates, commercial policy measures (such as tariff suspensions, anti-dumping duties, quotas), safety standards or sanitary or phytosanitary or other formalities, prohibitions or embargoes, the common agricultural policy (CAP), internal taxation or the development of statistics of foreign trade.
