Preferential origin

An exemption from customs duties?  

Depending on the agreements between the different continents and countries, goods with a certain origin may benefit from an exemption from customs duties on import.

This is particularly the case with the BREXIT agreement. Goods originating in the UK (Great Britain) are completely exempt from customs duties.

Be careful though, the English seller must be able to prove it of course.

To summarise, preferential origin is a status used to apply a reduced or zero rate of customs duty on certain goods. Compliance with the rules of preferential origin is a condition for the reduction or exemption of import customs duties, provided for in the framework of the EU's free trade agreements and unilateral preferences with certain countries.
