Entry Summary Declaration (ENS)

The Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) is a customs obligation imposed on all goods entering the territory of the European Union, regardless of the mode of transport (air, sea, road, rail).

This declaration aims to allow a prior analysis of the safety and security risks associated with the flow of goods.

It must be transmitted via the ICS2 (Import Control System 2) system, by the carrier or an authorised representative.

Since 2025, the ENS has also been an essential condition within the framework of the Mandatory Logistics Envelope (ELO), for trading with the United Kingdom.

📌 For more details on the procedure, obligations and deadlines, see our complete file dedicated to the ENS.
