Authorized consignee

The principle is that the goods placed under transit / TIR must be presented at the customs office of destination. However, the status of authorized consignee allows the company to receive these goods at an authorized place without presenting them at the customs office of destination. A company can be a transit authorized consignee, a TIR authorized consignee, or both.
