The EUR.1 movement certificate is a proof of origin that allows the shipment of goods from the European Union to a country or group of countries that have concluded preferential agreements with the European Union. The production of this certificate makes it possible to benefit from reduced customs duties or even eliminated in certain cases. It replaces the certificate of origin even if on certain destinations, both documents may be required. It is stamped by the customs office at the exit from Community territory when the export customs formalities are completed. The exporter writes the document.
